The Professional training “TIROCINIO” provided for the end of the 1st year of the course the student has to choose between a system of production (milk, meat, eggs) and / or sports (horse breeding). Course unit content

The Professional training “TIROCINIO” is a training individual, aimed at the acquisition of specific skills in the disciplines provided by the declaration of the class. For each internship activated (either internal or external to the University) is drafted and signed Professional training specific project in accordance with the scheme approved by the Academic Bodies.
To ensure that graduates of the class L 38 "Livestock science and animal production technologies" are able to work professionally on all aspects of the livestock and agro-industrial complex, the training activity is quantified in 15 CFU equally distributed in three years of the course. The internship is carried out at the end of the second half of each year in companies affiliated and active in the livestock sector and agro-livestock, as well as to firms operating in the processing and marketing of animal production, breeding and use of animals target sport or work and in the management of wild populations.
During the internship experience, the student must fill out a diary card, on which he will take care to note the hours of daily activities. The diary card must be countersigned by the tutor for the certification of attendance and activity carried out. At the end of the training period at the property, the tutor will formulate a judgment synthetic evaluation on the activities carried out by the trainee. It is the responsibility of the coordinator of the internship to make the final judgment of the activity at the property in the case of training with an external structure, the final judgment will be made based on the assessment made by the referent. The allocation of credits related to the Internship will be carried out at the end of each period, provided that the opinion expressed by the referring teacher is positive.
The diary card must be delivered to the Students of the Faculty at the end of each period of Professional training.

Teaching methods

The Practical training internal and/or external to the University structures provides the figure of a TUTOR. The TUTOR can be a teacher or a professional (Veterinary and / or Agronomist). The professional (Veterinary and / or Agronomist) can assume the function of TUTOR provided that performs a managerial function under the seat in which we conduct Internship. The Tutor was given the task to verify that the objectives set out in the training project are carried out with competence and professionalism. At the end of the training period at the property, the tutor will formulate a judgment synthetic evaluation on the activities carried out by the trainee. It is the responsibility of the coordinator of the internship to make the final judgment of the activity at the property in the case of training with an external structure, the final judgment will be made based on the assessment made by the referent.
