Learning objectives

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to:
- know the contextual design process with particular
reference to the Architecture-City relationship (see Contents field);
- analyze and understand the relationship between Architecture and City
in
- potenziare la capacità comunicativa nell’ambito del progetto di
architettura e di città in particolare rispetto alle indicazioni descritte nei
Contenuti (4°, 5° descrittore di Dublino).
Metodi didattici
Le attività didattiche saranno condotte privilegiando modalità di
apprendimento attivo alternate a lezioni, studio di casi e seminari di
approfondimento.
Modalità di verifica
dell'apprendimento Il corso, prevede la verifica dell’apprendimento attraverso la valutazione
del progetto inteso come sintesi delle conoscenze e della capacità dello
studente di applicarle. Eventuali altre esercitazioni e/o approfondimenti
(Ex-Tempore/ricerca/studio di casi) saranno valutate nel corso dell’anno.
La prova finale orale è costituita da un colloquio individuale attraverso il
quale si verificheranno la conoscenza e la capacità di comprensione
critica dell’architettura costruita (1° descrittore di Dublino) in relazione al
progetto. Nel colloquio saranno verificate anche le capacità comunicative
e di apprendimento/ragionamento, la chiarezza dell’esposizione e
l’utilizzo della terminologia specifica della disciplina (4°,5° descrittore di
Dublino). La capacità di applicazione delle conoscenze sarà verificata
attraverso gli elaborati di progetto.
Durante la prova finale, nel caso di progettazione/esercitazione di
gruppo, è necessario che ogni membro del gruppo padroneggi tutta
l’esercitazione nella sua completezza nonché espliciti le parti che ha
curato personalmente.

Course unit content

The energy module for architecture and the sustainable city will be
applied to the project of
architecture.
In the context of sustainability, the topic of energy is discussed as it
involves the use of raw materials, the depletion of which affects future
generations, and also involves harmful emissions that impact on climate
change.
The general objectives of this module are, therefore, the reduction of the
builgind energy consumption, the increase of the HVAC efficiency and the
use of renewable energy sources.

Teaching methods

The teaching activities will be conducted privileging modalities of
active learning alternating with lectures, case studies and seminars.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course provides for the verification of learning through assessment of
the project intended as a synthesis of the knowledge and skills of the
student to apply them. Any other exercises and/or insights
(Ex-Tempore/research/case study) will be evaluated during the year.
The final oral exam consists of an individual interview through the which
knowledge and understanding will occur

Communication skills will also be tested in the interview
and learning/reasoning, the clarity of the presentation e
the use of the specific terminology of the discipline (4th, 5th descriptor of
Dublin). The ability to apply knowledge will be tested
through the project documents.
During the final exam, in the case of design/exercise of
group, it is necessary for each member of the group to master everything
the exercise in its entirety as well as explicit the parts it has personally
cared for.
