Learning objectives

To develop knowledge about FED psychopathology and the therapeutic stance to be adopted by the nutritionist within the frame of the multidisciplinary treatment team for FED. To develop skills on the nutritional treatment of FED.

Course unit content

Elements of psychopathology of Feeding and Eating Disorders (FED). The multi-professional integrated treatment of FED. The method of Progressive Psycho-nutritional Rehabilitation (RPP®) for FED.

Full programme

FED Psychopathology: medical and psychiatric manifestations of FED.
The integrated treatment for FED: national and international guidelines. The levels of care for FED: how to choose and make transitions among different levels of care. The maintenance mechanisms underlying FED.
The method of Progressive Psycho-nutritional Rehabilitation (RPP®) for FED: RPP® goals; RPP® instruments (dietary diary; personalized dietary plan).

Teaching methods

The course will be held through lectures to Students. In case of the persistence of the health emergency, the directions of the University will be followed, e.g. by using the synchronous-streaming mode on the Teams platform. Therefore, the opportunity of Student/Teacher interaction will be preserved both face to face and remotely, by the simultaneous use of the Teams platform.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written, multiple-choice examination.
In case of the persistence of the health emergency, the exams will be conducted remotely, as follows:
remote written test, through the Teams and Elly platforms (guide http://selma.unipr.it/).
