Design driven methodological approach.
A specific design experience in the exhibit design field (designing a temporary exhibition).

Course unit content
The course will deal with the interior design field with particular attention to exhibit design and museography.
The lectures will focus on 2 main topics:
1) Interior design: from historical masters to contemporary interpretations. This first topic – driven by a critical-interpretive approach – will focus on some crucial figures of the interior design culture.
2) Exhibit design. This second topic – driven by thematic-disciplinary approach – will focus on temporary exhibitions and museums and will be the field of the design exercice.

Assessment methods and criteria
For attending students:
the final exam will be focused on an oral interview about the bibliography and lectures (individual) and on a design exercise (in team).
For non-attending students:
the final exam (individual) will be focused on an oral interview about the bibliography and lectures, on a critical writing on a topic agreed upon the professor and on an extemporary design exercise (taken during the day of the exam).
