Learning objectives
The course will provide the student basic knowledge of general and organic chemistry to know at the molecular level the macroscopic phenomena and to use the acquired knowledge to solve practical problems. The exam modalities are based on exercises allowing the students to apply the acquired knowledge.

Bibliography
The textbooks of the single modules are listed in the corresponding sections.
Teaching methods
The course will be done through traditional classroom lectures on the theoretical part, with periodic exercises in order to demonstrate the practical applications of the taught theory.
Assessment methods and criteria
The exam will be done through two different written tests, one focused on the Inorganic and General Chemistry and another centered on the Organic Chemistry (for details on these specific written tests, see the corresponding sections). The final mark will be the average of the results of the two written tests.
