Learning objectives

The course aims to provide basic training of Administrative Law to students, as future operators of Social Services, will have to deal daily with public administrations. The objective of this course is therefore to enable the student to gain an adequate legal training suited to address and resolve the main issues related to the working world. In particular, the teaching of administrative law aims to developin students a sufficient knowledge of the basics elements of the subject matter to allow for future social workers id set up and solve the various issues related to the pratical application of administrative law. This training also aims to conseint to the students to gain indipendent skills of argument and judgment related to the study and analysis of the main pratical cases.

Course unit content

The course aims to provide basic trainig of Administrative Law to students. The first series of lectures provides basic notions but necessary to the study and understanding of this field of law. The basic concepts related to the study of the evolution of administrative law, the analysis of internal sources and community, the consitutional prinicples of public administrattion as well as the fundamental principles of adeministrative and different forms of explanation thereof. The second series of lectures is devoted to discussion of the peculiar institution of administrative law such as administrative powers and its exercise, the procedure, function administrative provvediment and forms of self-defense. The third cycle of lectures is dedicated to the analysis of issues of particular relevance in pratice sociuali services such as access to administrative documents and privacy.

Teaching methods

The teaching will be carried out not only lectures, but also through interactive teaching together with the analysis of the most importantand recent judgments useful to the complete knowledge of the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria

The learning and the degree of preparation is checked by written examination with multiple choice quizzes on the arguments put forward discussed in class. The student must show that he has acquired a total of suitable knowledge of concepts shown during the course of lessons.
