Integrated course unit module: REGENERATION OF DIFFERENTIATED TISSUES

Learning objectives

Knowledge and understanding.
The students need learn the fundaments of the structure and component of
the stem cell niche ofdifferent organs in the adult.
Applying knowledge and understanding.
Students must use acquired knowledge to recognize structural element and identify molecular and antigenic characteristics of the stem cell and stem cell niche of organs in the adult.
Making judgments.
Ability to reason about the technics to isolate, characterize and differentiation mechanism of the stem cell of the organs in the adult.
Communications skills.
Ability to understand and be understood in technical situations.
Learning skills.
Ability to summarize a scientific paper and
to write a scientific progress report.
The course is designed to give the students the methods for studying the
morphological, functional and molecualr organization of the stem cell niche with special emphasis on
those areas of major professional interest.

Prerequisites

Human histology and anatomy.

Course unit content

First lessons: descrition of the structural, functional and anatomical elements of the stem cell and of the stem cell niche
