Learning objectives
The aim of this part of the integrated course is to understand the the biological bases of human and sexual behavior as far as cooperation and conflict between the sexes. Through the evolutionary approach the student will be able to analyse male and female reproductive strategies, the cooperation and conflict between the sexes. This will allow a better understanding and analysis of cognitive, psychological, clinical and cultural aspects which carachterize the expression of human mating system and sexuality and the origin of male and female conflictual relationships.
Prerequisites
The basic knowledge necessary to properly follow and understand this course are: Biology, genetic,evolutionary biology , neurobiology especially the neroendocrine system
Course unit content
This part of the integrated course is devoted to the study and understanding of the biological bases of human and sexual behavio. The course foucouses on the importance of the evolutionary approach for unravel psychological and clinical aspects of human sexuality as far as male and female reproductive strategies and the cooperation and conflict between the sexes. This will allow a better understanding and analysis of cognitive, psychological, clinical and cultural aspects which carachterize the expression of human mating system and sexuality and the origin of male and female conflictual relationships.
