Learning objectives
The course will provide the students basic knowledges allowing them to evaluate properties and reactivities of organic molecules, as fundamentals for the study of biochemical and biological processes linked to the animal production sciences. The exam modalities are based on exercises allowing the student to practically apply the theoretical knowledge acquired.
Prerequisites
It is necessary to have attended the Inorganic and General Chemistry module, which, with the present Organic Chemistry module, constitutes the exam of General and Organic Chemistry. The students will have the possibility to do the test on the Organic Chemistry module only after having passed with positive outcome the test on Inorganic and General Chemistry.

Teaching methods
The course will be done through traditional classroom lectures on the theoretical part, with periodic exercises in order to demonstrate the practical applications of the taught theory.
Assessment methods and criteria
The test on the Organic Chemistry part will be a written test with open questions covering all the aspects of the program. Every question will provide the same points independently by the difficulty. The sum of all points for all question will result in a score of 30/30. The passing level will be 18/30.
