Learning objectives

Gain a detailed understanding on:
functional anatomy of the components that structure the stem cell niches in different organs in the adult;
structural and functional components of the niches of stem cells and of progenitors for the regeneration and repair of differentiated tissues;
techniques of isolation, characterization, expansion and differentiation of osteogenic, chondrogenic, hematopoietic, endocrine organs, skin and eye progenitor cells;
biomechanics of structural, molecular and cellular bone and biomaterials in regenerative medicine

Prerequisites

human anatomy and histolgy
