Learning objectives

The learner will be able to:
- recognize the main elements of an instructional design
- evaluate the quality of an instructional design
- write simple instructional design
- use some teaching techniques (lecture, case study, role playing)

Prerequisites

The examination of "Theory and methodology of teaching nursing and midwifery," in which the module specification "Teaching and Special Education" is hinged, can only be taken after the completion of the tests of "Psychology applied to group dynamics and social "and" History and philosophy of nursing and midwifery. Course unit content

The teacher and the learner: socio-affective, cognitive and metacognitive element involved in the teaching/learning processes.

The key elements of the instructional design: levels, objectives, teaching approaches and techniques, contents, time, spaces, tools, social dimensions, assessment.

The management of classroom activities: practical guidelines for the use of lecture, case study, role playing.

Teaching methods

The educational activities will be conducted focusing on active learning methods (interactive lectures, case studies, simulations) with a continuous enhancement of the direct experiences of the participants and the interactions between individuals in learning. The classroom activities will be supported by the use of authentic materials and presentations on computer.

Assessment methods and criteria

The learning process will be monitored constantly during the course of specific activities through the solicitation of feedback.
Learning summative assessment involves a oral discussion.
