The civil and environmental engineer plays a key role in contemporary society by dealing with various issues that affect everyday life. These include the design, construction, surveying and maintenance of structural works of buildings and infrastructure; the management of water resources; the management and mitigation of natural and man-made hazards; and the analysis of interactions between the ground and works. The degree course aims to train entry-level technical professionals who are able to contribute to the design and construction process of civil and environmental engineering works.

The degree course in 'Computer, Electronic and Communications Engineering', LIIET, represents the evolution of a consolidated 20-year tradition at the University of Parma. Starting from A.Y. 2021/22, the LIIET was organised to provide, particularly in the first two years of the course, transversal skills which are then completed in the third year, based on the student's choice of one of eight specialised curricula in the key sectors of Information Technology Engineering.

The career-oriented degree course in 'Constructions, Infrastructures and Territorial Management' (CIT) trains young professionals with expertise in the civil, construction, infrastructure and territorial sectors.
The course provides advanced technical application skills that meet the needs of operators in the construction and land management sectors.
The degree programme includes a basic training, with ample space devoted to laboratory activities and a 9-month internship to be carried out in a company in the 3rd year.
