Learning objectives
To provide students with knowledge on the general principles of Hygiene and Public Health, with particular reference to physical activity and sports. To acquire an independent learning methodology. To acquire an autonomy of judgments on the topics dealt with and specific communication skills in relations with specialists and non-specialists.

The main aspects of Hygiene and Public Health, with particular reference to the application in physical activity.
General concepts of Hygiene, Health, Public Health.

Epidemiology and prevention of infectious diseases.

The main aspects of the organization of sporting activities and the main sporting events are also dealt with.

The course will be taught through frontal lectures, with interactive sessions.
Supporting material will be available on the specific, student-reserved platform (Elly).
Assessment methods and criteria
The achievement of the educational objectives of the course of HYGIENE, ORGANISATION AND HEALTHCARE PLANNING is assessed by means of an online examination, which consists of answering a multiple-choice quiz that will be made available on ELLY together with the relevant information. This test takes place at the same time as the one relating to the other modules of the IOADAS course and concerns the contents of the course HYGIENE, ORGANISATION AND HEALTHCARE PROGRAMMING. In particular, the test consists of 1 multiple-choice test. Four answers will be available for each question, one of which will be correct. The HYGIENE, ORGANISATION AND HEALTHCARE PLANNING test will have 23 questions and a duration of 30 minutes. A pass mark will be achieved with 13 correct answers. There are no penalties for incorrect or missing answers (The final mark for the integrated course will be derived from the weighted average of the marks obtained for the 3 subjects. Correct answers to all 53 questions in the three quizzes will result in an honours grade. A pass mark must be achieved for all the subjects; otherwise, all three tests must be repeated).
