The student will acquire knowledge of the principles of biology and of the scientific methods necessary for understanding and mastering how the human body functions and of microbiology and its implication for infectious diseases

5. The molecular bases of heredity: DNA duplication, transcription and translation; mutations;

Microbiology:

There will be optional written midterms and a mandatory final examination.
