Teaching methods

Lectures. The teaching materials used during the lectures are uploaded on Elly at the beginning of the course (attendance tracking methods), during the course (papers to work on during lectures), and at the end of the course (lectures slides, extended syllabus and exam procedures). The course slides are to be considered an integral part of the reference bibliography.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written exam with multiple-choice questions. The exam, lasting 1 hour, is based on the translation/interpretation of a scientific article, which will be different for each exam session. The full paper will be published on Elly at least 48 hours before the exam session, so that students can view and study it. The quiz questions will thus pertain to the translation/interpretation of the published paper. Each question will have a corresponding score; the total score will determine the final grade (ranging from 1 to 30 with distinction).
