Learning objectives
Introduce to the student the use of modern information processing systems and make it able to autonomously produce models and data elaborations of increasing complexity.
Prerequisites
basic knowledge of univariate statistics.
Course unit content
The course will cover the use of various types of software, particularly developed for Statistics and numerical calculation, to elaborate clinical and biological data.

IBM-SPSS.
Descriptive analysis. Exploring data with graphs.
Non-parametric methods and models.
Correlation and regression.
ANOVA, ANCOVA and Repeated measures ANOVA. Factor models.

Teaching methods
Lectures will be held on-site in compliance with safety standards, provided that further instructions on the ongoing health emergency are not implemented. Supporting material will be available on the specific, student-reserved platform (Elly) and will include slide presentations, audio-video aids or video-recording of the lectures.
Assessment methods and criteria
The learning verification test will consist of the preparation of a database of clinical data and the production of an appropriate written report to be presented and discussed in the examination context.
