Integrated course unit module: COMMUNITY NURSING AND OBSTETRIC ASSISTANCE

Learning objectives

The learning process will provide theoretical and practical basis of the discipline. Student will know main aspects of physiology of children, nursing and treatment of principal pediatric diseases. Main issues will be infections and vaccines

Prerequisites

Having followed previous courses.

Course unit content

Growth, causes of short stature, physiology and variants of puberty; obesity; causes and complications, treatment and Regional plans for treatment.

Teaching methods

Lectures will be held on-site in compliance with safety standards, provided that further instructions on the ongoing health emergency are not implemented. Supporting material will be available on the specific, student-reserved platform (Elly) and will include slide presentations, audio-video aids or video-recording of the lectures.

Assessment methods and criteria

If due to the persistence of the health emergency it is necessary to carry out the exams remotely, the final test will consist of an oral question conducted remotely (via Teams) in synchronous mode with questions on teaching topics.
