Learning objectives

Achieve the basic consepts and skills of the consulting activity and ecological analisys within the environmental impact assessment of projecting, realization and functioning of renewable power plants.
Knowledge and understanding of the main ecological components differentially involved in different tyes of renewable power plant.
Applying knowledge and understanding which are the ecological components to be addressed and analysed within each assessment procedure
Making independent and scientific based judgement in order to trade off with the request of the administrative procedures.
Achieve comunication skills in order to properly expose technical and scientific issues to non specialized figures.
Achieve learning skills, to find out, learn and apply different methodological approaches in order to collect environmental data and to analyse environmental indicators by which describe and quantify the impacts or advantages related to the development and utilizzation of different renewable power plants.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of Biology and Ecology. Basic knowledge and of plants and animals taxonomy and identification.

General overview of the main energetico sources
Relevant Ecological components: abiotic and biotic (Flora and Fauna, Humans)
Applyed methodologies in ecological components analysis.
Identification and analysis criteria of Environmental impacts.
Main features and peculiarity of renewable power plants.
