Course unit content

The green economy is defined as an economy that aims at reducing
environmental and ecological risks, and that aims to sustainable
development and to the circular economy. This is linked to the use and
rationalization of genetic resources as a tool to optimize the production
and the protection of cultivable areas.
The course aims to illustrate the basic principles of the green economy
and the use of genetic resources. The basic principles for the production
of transgenic organisms potentially applicable to agro-food production
are also introduced.
