Learning objectives

To provide the basic notions of respiratory anatomy and physiology to interact with the doctor in prescribing physical exercise in respiratory diseases

Course unit content

Macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the respiratory system; basic physiology of the respiratory system; correlation of anatomical and physiological aspects with physical exercise and the main pathologies of the respiratory system.

Full programme

Macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the respiratory system; physiology of the respiratory system; basic pathophysiological aspects of asthma and COPD; role of physical exercise in respiratory diseases.
