Learning objectives
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the skills to conduct physical exercise and sports activities aimed at leading team sports.
1. Knowledge and understanding.
At the end of the course the student knows the technical characteristics of the exercises and training to improve strength and endurance sport performace. The student will be also capable of processing assessment test to determine the characteristics that have to be trained for the different team sports.
2. Applying knowledge and understanding.
At the end of the course the student knows and uses the main training methods for the different motor skills and to improve performance in team sports.
3. Making judgements.
At the end of the course the student is able to choose and use the main training methods, to increase sport performance, differentiating the load based on individual performance for both the type of team sport and according to age and gender
4. Communication skills.
the student must use technical terminology
5. Learning skills.
the student must be able to summarize a brief technical text on the topic.

The course aims to introduce the theoretical and methodological principles of team sports practice, training and teaching.
The didactic program focuses on:
Classification of sport and coordinative skills.
General principles and programming of training for the main team sports.
Evaluation and planning of sport training for the main team sports.

Teaching methods
Lectures will be held on-site in compliance with safety standards, provided that further instructions on the ongoing health emergency are not implemented. Supporting material will be available on the specific, student-reserved platform (Elly) and will include slide presentations, audio-video aids or video-recording of the lectures.
Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, multiple choice test.
In case of the persistence of the health emergency, the exams will be conducted remotely, as follows:
structured written test conducted remotely (by Teams and Elly). The test consists of 30 multiple choice questions on the course contents (reference texts + documents uploaded to Elly during the course). There is no penalty for incorrect answers.
The final mark, reported directly on Esse3, will correspond to the arithmetic average of the assessments obtained in the written test.
