Integrated course unit module: LEGAL ASPECTS OF THE MANAGEMENT ROLE

Learning objectives

The workshop's objective is to provide students with the essential tools to develop skills that enable them to face and solve the problems of EU law in business practice. These tools will allow the development of a critical vision of the European and Italian legislations. The students should indeed increasingly take a proactive approach to European law, focusing on how the law can be used and operate in business reality, as shown by the recent case - particularly striking for the remarkable impact on the hospital's daily practice - regards the implementation of the NHS in Directive 2003/88 / EC on working time.

Prerequisites

The workshop requires active participation of students, directly involved in the analysis and discussion on the topics, through readings provided by the teacher.

Course unit content

The workshop will be dedicated to the analysis of some EU directives - and their transposition into Italian legislation - particularly meaningful for the organization, such as Directive 2003/88 / EC on working time, Directive 2010/18 / EU on parental leave, Directive 97/81 / EC on part-time work, the Directive 1999/70 / EC on fixed-term work, the Directive 2011/24 / EU cross-border healthcare. It will also examine some of the European Court of Justice Rulings on the interpretation of the above Directives.
