Course unit content
The course will develop the student’s ability to understand written and oral texts on business subjects by expanding their knowledge of the grammatical and lexical traits typical of the sector language (cohesive devices, linking expressions, the passive, business idioms, noun phrases, the language of trends). It also plans to improve their written and oral production skills through the writing of short specialist texts (e.g. e-mails, reports, mission statements) and develop communicative functions for use in a variety of professional situations (telephone strategies, negotiating, managing meetings, giving presentations).
