Integrated course unit module: CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY

Learning objectives

The course is aimed to make the students able to achive the up to date knowledge on mental disorders, their biological bases and their treatment.

Course unit content

The first part of the classes will address the fundamental principles of psychopathology such as alterations of perception, thought, affect.
The second part of the classes will address the principal mental disorders such as schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and personality disorders.
The third part of the classes will address the fundamental principles of treatment of mental disorders

The final examination consists in a multiple choice test with questions, concerning the program of the course. The final examination evaluates the student's knowledge, acquired during the study, about the ability to recognize mental disorders.
