Learning objectives

The purpose is to understand the risk for a Dental Hygienist regarding the chronic systemic pathologies that many of their elderly patients might have and to understand the pharmacological treatments.

1) Cardiovascular diseases and Hypertension.
2) Metabolic Bone diseases such as osteoporosis, Paget diseases
3) Autoimmune disease such as Rheumatoid Athrites, Lupus
4) anemia and coagulopathies and anticoagulation treatments
