Outgoing (or post-graduate) orientation
Outgoing (or post-graduate) orientation is a service that aims to guide undergraduates and graduates towards the world of work, through various activities and initiatives.
The orientation service is carried out mainly by the degree course staff and by the Orientation and Job Placement unit.
Specifically: the degree course, through the delegate of the Department, organizes and publicizes meetings with representatives of the world of work (e.g. professionals, public officials, entrepreneurs, etc.) in order to illustrate to students the characteristics of individual activities and challenges that graduates will have to face at the end of their university education.
The U.O. Orientation and Job Placement organizes a series of orientation interventions to help those who are about to finish or have already completed a university course of study towards the world of work, encouraging the improvement of soft skills and knowledge of professional profiles and related opportunities.
The main services offered to undergraduates and graduates are:
-job offers noticeboard where all the job offers offered by companies, bodies and organizations registered in various capacities on the AlmaLaurea portal are collected;
-job opportunity, publication of opportunities for students and undergraduates;
-job day, an annual event aimed at promoting direct relationships between companies and undergraduates/graduates of the University of Parma;
-seminars and meetings on how to write a CV and cover letter, how to successfully face a job interview (simulations of individual and group interviews), etc.;
Furthermore, ER.GO., on the 'Job orientation' page, also provides various support services to new graduates.
