Integrated course unit module: BIOTECHNOLOGIES AND PHYSIOPATHOLOGY OF HORSE REPRODUCTION

Learning objectives

To make a student in codition to be able to perform a fertility test in a stallion. Induce and synchronize estrus in the mare. To perform a gynecologycal and ecographic examination in a mare. To perform an A.I. in a mare.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of reproductive tract of stallion and mare

Course unit content

Induction and oestrus syncronisation inh the mare. Fertility test in the stallion. Artificial insemination techniques in the mare.
