Integrated course unit module: INTERNSHIP I YEAR

Learning objectives

the student must be able to:
1) fulfill the responsibilities related to their role:
comply with the traineeship obligations
not be selective in activities
complete the work entrusted
inquire or ask for help before starting unknown activities
2) recognize the structure in which it is located and the different professional figures:
identify the operating unit and the reference department
recognize the different professional figures and their roles
3) operate respecting rights and roles:
respect the rights of the person and his family members
respect the role of other professional figures and collaborate with them
use a clear language and appropriate to different situations, privacy

4) read, understand, collect and report data based on the nursing process, the information reported in the delivery or in the nursing card
collect and annotate data on the medical record,
collect and annotate objective and subjective data.
identify nursing diagnoses
identify possible assistance interventions.

5) apply appropriate behavior for the prevention of hospital infections
perform social and / or antiseptic and / or alcoholic hand washing, the concepts of cleaning, antisepsis, disinfection and sterilization
use the different types of D.P.I. ( personal protective equipment)
medicate a wound
identify the types of patients most exposed to infections
6) implement assistance interventions consistent with the abilities of the person:
inquire about the pathology of the person even if not addressed theoretically
implement the interventions in due time
substitute or help the person in the performance of life activities
implement the interventions in a conscious way (know the reasons for the interventions and the possible consequences)
prepare, use and store the material ready for use
use the premises and materials suitable for the various situations

7) meet the needs of hygiene and clothing of the person
8) to satisfy the need for mobilization of the person
9) to satisfy the need for breathing and temperature control

detect: respiration rate, breath type, pulse characteristics, heart rate, blood pressure, axillary and rectal temperature,
run the E.C.G.
10) to satisfy the need for food
recognize the main diets
help the person in preparing and taking the meal
11) satisfy the need related to urinary and faecal elimination
12) implement the assessment to the person in charge
systematically detect and classify objective and subjective data
formulate real and potential nursing diagnoses

Attendance at classes in General Nursing I, Anatomy and Physiology

theory and practical exercises of activities aimed at basic patient care

Full programme

the student during the internship must be able to:
1) fulfill the responsibilities related to their role:
comply with the obligations of the training (be on time, notify in time in case of absence, countersign daily attendance on the booklet, etc.)
not be selective in activities
complete the work entrusted
inquire or ask for help before starting unknown activities (recognizing your limits)
2) recognize the structure in which it is located and the different professional figures:
identify the structural characteristics of the operating unit
recognize the different professional figures and their roles
recognize the organizational model applied in the operational unit
identify support services for the self.
3) operate respecting rights and roles:
respect the rights of the person and his family members, the role of the other professional figures and collaborate with them
use a clear language and appropriate to different situations, privacy
4) read, understand, collect and report data based on the nursing process
read and understand the information reported in the delivery or in the nursing form
collect and annotate the data
collect and annotate objective data
identify nursing diagnoses
identify the possible assistance interventions, compared to the different diagnoses inf.
