To teach the student the principles of laboratory diagnostics of monoclonal gammapathies.

Course unit content
Lessosn will be focused of the Laboratory diagnosis of pre-malignant and malignant monoclonal gammopathies.
Full programme
Study of qualitative and quantitative changes of the serum proteins electrophoresis (hypergammaglobulinemias and hypogammaglobulinemias), serum and urinary immunofixation and role of the serum free light chains.
Laboratory diagnosis of monoclonal gammapathies: MGUS, multiple myeloma, Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia and AL amyloidosis.
