Peri-operative medicine aims to accompany people suffering from surgical pathologies in a structured and standardized path that guarantees a quality of care in the period prior to surgery, during and after the intervention itself. These paths are also called "clinical pathways" are coordinated by expert nurses who share the process with patients and with a multi-professional team, essential to respond effectively to the priority health problems of the patients. care based on the critical ability of the nurse in identifying priority health problems, structuring targeted objectives and appropriate interventions suited to the personalization of assistance.
