Learning objectives

At the end of the course, students will be able to:
 Understand the contents of texts on topics of professional health interest
 Broadly support a technical discussion in your subject area
 Translate articles of clinical-care interest

 Introduction to scientific English
 Reading Comprehension
 Guide to the use of Consolidation units
 Guide to the use of the dictionary and other resources; the student will be able to use the dictionary to understand different sources
 Strategies for understanding and discussing scientific English texts
 Acquisition of the basic vocabulary
 Development and enhancement of written language comprehension skills

Teaching methods

Frontal and interactive lessons: the student will be able to use the knowledge acquired during the course, thus verifying correct learning; the teacher will be able to ascertain whether the notions have been acquired and, if not, modulate the teaching program in good time, slowing down, pausing, repeating and simplifying the methods of acquiring knowledge. The contribution of students in small group work will be required.
