Learning objectives

At the end of the course, the student must be able to:
- Identify the principles and characteristics of the health organization
- Know the different functioning models of the Healthcare Systems
- Know the basic concepts of management
- Compare the different care models
- Identify the nursing care management tools
- Know the reference standards for their specific professional, the interaction with other professions, the collaboration of the support staff
- Identify the areas of responsibility, collaboration and supervision towards the support staff
- Recognize the roles of the various professional figures with whom the nurse collaborates and the integration methods

- Concept of management: the importance for the health professions
- Organization concept, main concepts on health organization, general characteristics of health organization
- Models of organization and functioning of health systems
- The evolution of healthcare in Italy and the reference standards, the organization of assistance in health and socio-sanitary services
- Models for the provision of nursing care: functional model, team-Nursing, Primary-Nursing, case-management
- The professional profile of the socio-health worker: the functions of the support staff, definition of the concept of assignment of tasks, definition of the attributable activities
- Collaboration between nurses and support workers
