Learning objectives
The course aims to prepare the new engineers for the qualification national exam to practice as a professional engineer provided with the fundamentals of ethical and practical legislation.
Prerequisites
The course is intended for students in the 2nd year of the Master's Degree, for students in the 3rd year (aiming to become junior engineers), for students who are not in course, for five-year and three-year graduates

Main law regulations about the engineer professional activity.
Regulations of professional ethics.

1st lesson
Object of the profession. Fundamental principles and institute laws. Professional regulations. Engineers governing bodies: Orders, Federations and National Council: organization and roles. Professional exercise. Obligation to register with the Register. Areas of competence. State examination. Five-year and three-year engineers (iunior): freelancers and public and private employees. Individual and associated professional practice. Engineering company. Professional assignments. Contractual regulation of professional services. Parameters for professional fees. Tax obligations, VAT. Social security and insurance obligations.
2nd lesson
Confidential professional activities: professional skills and their protection. Engineering as applied science: general ethical principles. Ethics rules: current situation and in relation to the recent rules on liberalization professions and policies. Disciplinary proceedings. Civil and criminal law related to the exercise of the profession: obligations and responsibilities
3rd lesson
Fundamentals of public works legislation with reference to the fundamental laws, to the regulation and to the general documents with examples.
4th lesson
Government of the territory and concurrent legislative power. National and local regulations concerning urban planning and construction. Solidal responsibility.
PART 2 ° - PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
Design, management and testing of works - Consulting
5th lesson
Procedures and obligations related to the planning and implementation of building interventions: foundations and examples.
6th lesson
Regulations on safety and health of workers: design and management of safety on construction sites with examples.
7th lesson
Rules and rules of art on the containment of energy consumption, eco-sustainability of building materials, classification and energy certification of buildings, energy regulation and reward systems. Rules on fire prevention in buildings and on plant safety.
8th lesson
Methods of accessing and storing personal data (privacy) in the processing using IT supports. D.Lgs. 7 March 2005 n. 82 - digital administration code, Pece Digital signature, signature and electronic identity card. Copyright on software and principles related to intrusion into systems.
