patient assistance in surgery and in the medical field. acquire technical, organizational and relational skills
Prerequisites
passing 1 year internship exam and preparatory exams. attendance at the workshops preparatory to the internship and the lessons of the 1st semester.
Course unit content
assistance to the surgical patient, in the outpatient setting (e.g. endoscopies) in day hospital (e.g. oncology and dialysis), and assistance to patients with internal pathologies

Teaching methods
the trainee student is supported by a clinical tutor. Clinical case laboratories observed in internship.
Assessment methods and criteria
the student will have to produce on paper (didactic folder) an assistance plan concerning a clinical case observed during the internship. the oral exam includes an interview where the student will have to explain and discuss the assistance plan and demonstrate critical thinking in the reasoning and actions described.
