Learning objectives
During the course the student will acquire knowledge about the arguments presented in the lectures, in particular knowledge that will help them understand the anatomy of cardiovascular system and the diagnostic tools to study the anatomy of cardiovascular system.
These objectives will enable students to understand and then to implement in practice, with discrete independent judgment, the following skills: cardiovascular evaluation of anatomy and differences between diagnostic tools in assessing cardiovascular anatomy.
The student will acquire capacity to learn and communicate this informations, which will be assessed during the course and subsequently questioned orally during the oral examination.

Course unit content
course will be divided into two parts: anatomy and anatomy applied to cardiovacolar diagnostic tools.
In the first part, concerning the anatomy of the cardiovascular system, will be dealt with aspects of the anatomy of the heart, heart valves, coronary artery, pulmonary and systemic circulation. Will also address aspects of intergration between cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
In the second part, concerning the anatomy applied to cardiovascular diagnostic tools, will be dealt with the main diagnostic methods able to study the anatomy of the cardiovascular system. In particular, will be treated aspects of echocardiography, myocardial scintigraphy, myocardial PET, cardiac MRI, and coronary angiography.

The course will be structured with lectures followed by a moment, at the end of each lesson, of discussion regarding the topics treated
Assessment methods and criteria
Final assessment will be structured as oral examination, including an evaluation made by some professors. The final judgement will be obtained form the average of the scores made by each individual teacher. The final vote will take account of knowledge acquired during the course, ability to link together all knowledge, expressive capacity and also specific ability of the student.
