Integrated course unit module: RESEARCH METHODS AND EBN

Learning objectives

The course is part of the integrated course in Research Methodology and EBN (Evidence Based Nursing).
The course aims to provide students with the essential elements of methodology and statistics useful for nursing research. The aim is also to achieve the ability to use the knowledge and understanding acquired in the preparation of the degree thesis and, subsequently, for the conduct of a professional activity based on "Evidence based nursing".
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student must demonstrate that he has acquired basic knowledge of epidemiology and medical statistics.
Moreover, by applying the acquired knowledge and understanding, the student must be able to set up the work of preparing the thesis.

Course unit content

The lessons of the course deal with elements of epidemiology and statistics useful for reading scientific articles and reports and for planning research work. The thesis is also used as a research planning model.
