Integrated course unit module: BIOETHICS, DEONTOLOGY AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICS

Learning objectives

The course intends to introduce the student to the profession of radiologist Technician:
- Knowledge of the RT's Ethics Code
- Knowledge of the laws characterizing the exercise of the RT profession
- Concept of the administrative arrangements for the activities of a RT
- Knowledge of classification of skills, activities and responsibilities of a RT

Prerequisites

- Basic of Forensic Medicine
- Basic of Occupational Medicine
- Governing Law and mandatory part of the radiation protection

Course unit content

- Evolution of the figure of the RT and the main rules governing the exercise of the profession.
- Analysis of the Code of Ethics of the RT and of the various operational areas of the Diagnostic Medical RT (Radiodiagnostic, Nuclear Medicine, Radiotherapy, etc.)
- First information about the organization of the Professional College at local and national level. Introduction to concepts of ethics and professional ethics in healthcare.
