The course intends to provide the students with the necessary tools for the comprehension and the analysis of journalistic writing in English, with a focus on international politics, and a careful study of the themes and languages used by journalism, and by American political journalism in particular.

Teaching methods
Each week, we will discuss in class newspaper articles and essays, and we will also watch documentaries and movies on journalism.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final exam involves a reading comprehension of a newspaper article and the discussion of an essay and a movie, chosen by the student from the reading list.
