Enrolment procedures and deadlines

Admission to the Second-Cycle Degree Course in International and European Relations (Class LM-52) requires possession of a first-cycle (three-year) university degree, a first-level degree, a single-cycle degree or a four-year degree awarded at Italian universities or an academic qualification awarded abroad and deemed equivalent to a first-level degree.

Admission requirements

 

Those who do not hold a first-cycle/three-year degree in Political Science and International Relations (Class L-36 - DM. 270/04) obtained at any university, for access to the second-cycle degree course in International and European Relations, must have acquired a minimum number of 36 ECTS credits, of which
a) at least 9 ECTS credits in total accrued in the following academic disciplines:
SECS-P/01 - Political economics; SECS-P/02 - Economic policy;
SECS-P/06 - Applied economics.
b) at least 9 ECTS credits in IUS/01 - Private law and at least 9 ECTS credits in IUS/09 - Institutions of public law.
c) at least 9 ECTS credits in total in the following academic disciplines:
SPS/02 History of Political Doctrines; SPS/06 History of International Relations.
Students who do not hold a first-cycle degree in Class L-36 (DM. 270/04) or who hold a first-cycle degree in Class L-36 (DM. 270/04) with a degree grade of less than 80/110 must undergo a preliminary examination of their personal preparation.

Verification of access requirements

Those who do not hold a first-cycle degree in Political Science and International Relations (Class L-36) may request verification of their entry requirements from the Programmes of Study Committee.

Enrolment Period - Prospectus

Registration/enrolment periods:

  • registration: from 9:00 on 13 July 2023 to 12:00 on 20 October 2023.

N.B. Students who have not yet graduated and who wish to enrol on second-cycle degree courses must still pre-enrol on the second-cycle degree course by 20 October 2023 and, once they have obtained their three-year degree, complete enrolment by 29 March 2024.

  • Enrolment for years subsequent to the first: from 5 September 2023 to 16 November 2023
  • Transitions and incoming transfers: until 20 October 2023
  • outgoing transfers: until 31 December 2023

(18 eligible non-EU students, of which 3 places are reserved for students of Chinese nationality as part of the "Marco Polo" Project)

Recognition of previous studies

Students with previous careers and university studies already completed in Italy and abroad who enrol on the Degree Course in International and European Relations may apply for recognition of these activities.
