Learning objectives

The Integrated Course of Clinical Medicine aims to enable the student to understand the essential elements regarding the etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms and methods of diagnosis of major diseases in the field of general internal medicine specialists and is also leading in the field of clinical nephrology, neurological and respiratory tract.
Furthermore aim of the course is to enable the student to know and understand the essential aspects of nursing care to the sick and to prepare an appropriate care plan as part of the main diseases to internal medicine, general and specialized.

Course unit content

The lessons of the course treat the essential elements relating to the main pathologies of the Internal Medicine, of Nephrology, of the pathologies of the Apparatus Tract, of Neurology and general topics of nursing. In particular is given ample prominence to the pathogenesis, to the semeiology and to the diagnosis of the main clinical pictures presented.

Lectures with the use of audio-visual support and discussion in the classroom with students.

Assessment methods and criteria

The assessment of the achievement of the objectives of the course consists of an oral examination. Through questions about the contents of the course will be determined whether the student has achieved the goal of knowledge and understanding of the content. Through questions regarding prevention strategies and preparation of a care plan will be determined whether the student has achieved the aim of applying the acquired knowledge
