Learning objectives
This seminar aims to let the students understand the basic elements of cardiac computed tomography imaging technique. Furthermore it aims to allow the students to apply their acquired knowledge and comprehension for the choice of the best technique to be used for the main clinical scenarios
LEARNING RESULTS
At the end of this course, the students will have to show knowledge and comprehension about the following items:
-basic cardiac computed tomography technique
-techniques of choice in relation with the cardiac frequency, patients characteristics, and clinical query
-post-processing techinque

Course unit content
Computed tomography technique for the assessment of cardaic disorders will be described.
Basic knowledge of the post-processing technique will be also provided in the final part of the seminar.

Teaching methods
Lectures.
Practical sessions by using the workstations of the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Parma.
Assessment methods and criteria
The proof of the achievements of the course objectives will be obtained by either a written test or an integrative oral interview. Specific questions related to what discussed during this course will ascertain if the students have achieved both knowledge and comprehension of the course issues. Students will have to demonstrate their ability in applying the achieved knowledge through exemplifying cases.
