Seminars and Training Schools

PhD students have access to all seminar and training activities promoted by the School of Advanced Studies in Food and Nutrition, of which the PhD Course is part. In particular, students will have the opportunity to interact with international experts from the public and private sectors of the agri-food sector. PhD students will also be reserved some positions for participation in the annual Summer School promoted by EFSA and UNIPR on food safety issues.
Finally, PhD students will participate in the annual Workshop promoted by the National Coordination of PhDs in Food Science, Technology and Biotechnology.

Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, at 9:30 – Pavilion Aule delle Scienze – classroom B, will be held a seminar by Prof. Cesar Fraga (Associated Professor of University of California, Davis (UCD) – USA) entitled "(Poly)phenols and human health: redox mechanisms and the antioxidant possibility”, and a seminar by Prof. Patricia Oteiza (Professor of  University of California, Davis (UCD) – USA) entitled “Flavonoids in the mitigation of obesity - induced metabolic endotoxemia and associated systemic inflammation”.
