Course unit content

The contents of the course are represented by the description of the productive and reproductive cycles of animal species used for the production of milk intended for human consumption. The most important traits for monitoring the efficiency/profitability and milk quality at herd level will be illustrated. The factors at the herd level that significantly impact milk quality will also be identified. The course is organized into 2 modules: farming strategies for the dairy sector and laboratory of dairy farming technologies. The "Laboratory" module focuses on several topics discussed during the class lectures. For further details, please read the syllabus of each individual module.
