Learning objectives

The main objective of the course is to provide students with the knowledge on the scientific literature on the concept of health.
1. Knowledge and understanding.
At the end of the course the student knows the foundation of the scientific literature on sport and training.
2. Applying knowledge and understanding.
At the end of the course the student knows the most recognized international scientists on the determinants of behavior related to physical activity, sedentery and diet
3. Making judgements.
At the end of the course the student is able to have a critical thinking on a scientific research.
4. Communication skills.
At the end of the course the student is able to present a scientific article using a scientific language.
5. Learning skills.
At the end of the course the student is able to read, understand, and synthesize a scientific article.

The course aims to introduce the multidisciplinary nature of the concept of health.
The didactic program focuses on:
1. the definition of health, physcial activity and sedentary behavior.
2. the determinants of behavior related to physical activity, sedentery and diet (biological, behavioral, psicological, economics, environmental, policy, socio-cultural determinants)
