Learning objectives
This course is devoted to supervised lab activity on real-time operating systems, with a focus on vxWorks. At the end of the course students can implement simple real-time applications composed of several concurrent periodic activities.

Introduction to vxWorks and Workbench. Periodic processes. Synchronisation. Priority-based scheduling. Metascheduler. Resource Access Protocols.

Supervised lab sessions
Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of a lab assignment and of project developed in a real-time operating system. Assignment and project are to be developed and discussed in teams of 2-4 students.
