Characteristics of the final test

The final examination for the Master's degree consists of a major design, a project, or analysis activity in the field of automotive engineering. This activity must be agreed upon with an instructor, set within the framework of one of the planned course units or other training activities, developed by the student with a significant personal contribution and ideally conducted as part of an internship in cooperation with a private company. This activity is followed by the drafting of a dissertation and its discussion before a special committee set up in accordance with the didactic regulations. In the final examination, the candidate must demonstrate mastery of the topics, the ability to work independently and adequate communication skills.

 

Conduct of the final examination

1. The dissertation must be written and discussed in English.

2. In order to be admitted to the final examination, the student must have successfully passed the assessment relating to all other activities envisaged in the official study plan

3. The Master's Degree Committee is appointed by the Director of the Department in accordance with the University Teaching Regulations.

4. The master's degree committee will make an overall assessment of the candidate's basic and professional preparation, taking into account the results of the candidate's entire university career, including the work related to the preparation of the thesis. In the final examination, the candidate must demonstrate mastery of the subjects, the ability to work independently and adequate communication skills.

5. Three examination sessions are scheduled for each academic year: summer, autumn and winter. As a rule, the first useful session for taking the master's degree examination is the summer session at the end of the second term of the final year. The winter session is the last of each academic year and is held by March of the following year.
