Kwowledge obtained attending the course of General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry during the first year of the Laurea in Chimica course

Periodic system and chemical properties of the elements; block s and p elements; d-transition elements, coordination compounds
Full programme
Origin of the elements; elements on earth; inorganic systems; nomenclature of inorganic chemistry; elements of blck s and p and their most representative and useful compounds. Metals of block d and f. Coordination compounds of block d metals; crystal field and ligand field theory; steroechemistry of coordination compouds; types of ligands and spectrochemical series.
