Learning objectives
The Course of Otolaryngology The Hearing is part of the Integrated Course I and aims to enable the student to know and to understand the essential elements of clinical and instrumental diagnosis of diseases within audio-vestibolari.Lo student must acquire the ability to use knowledge and understanding in order to interpret the different clinical pictures, with particular attention to the instrumental diagnosis of hearing impairment and peripheral vertigo.

Course unit content
The first lessons of anatomy and physiology of the calls relate to auditory and vestibular systems with hints of psychoacoustics. Subsequently, the lessons are aimed to deepen clinical semiotics and instrumental of the auditory and vestibular apparatus. You specify, then, classification of hearing loss and the differential diagnosis of deafness, through the diagnostic audiological instrumental (liminal tonal audiometry, speech audiometry, impedance analysis)

Teaching methods
The lessons require oral presentation in video-projection of the contents with the help of filmed documentation of particular aspects semeiological clinical and instrumental. The last minutes of class are reserved for questions of clarification from the students. It provides for the discussion of clinical cases emblematic.
Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment of learning and knowledge takes place during the appeals provided for by the teaching calendar, by oral, in the presence of the Committee of Professors of the Integrated Course of Audiprotesi I. The student must be able to demonstrate the knowledge to interpret the findings instrumental basis of audio-vestibular disorders.
