Learning objectives
The traineeship is an educational tool that allows the student to have a work experience with public or private organizations, in order to develop personal and professional skills.
During the internship, the students acquire a direct knowledge of the work sector and also informations in order to facilitate their choices about the professional future (Decree of the Ministry of Labour, March 25, 1998, No. 142; Decree of the Ministry for University and Scientific and Technological Research, 3 November 1999, No. 509, Article 10, letter f).

Course unit content
The internship, according to the rules established by the University, permitts the student to obtain a number of credits compared to the total number of hours worked at the host organization (usually, 25 hours of training are related to 1 CFU).
The internship in Planning and management of social services (Master Degree Course) is run under the supervision of a tutor, who is a Social Work Coordinator or a Manager of a public or private social service.
The internship realizes a professional and practical experience of social service’s coordination or management; furthermore, the internship may consists in a research project.
University of Parma have signed several agreements with public and private subjects, in order to offer the students different frames of intervention and training’s behaviour.

The match between Student/Company ismanaged by the University Staff. The internship is organized by the Company’s Tutor, the Didactical Staff and the University Traineeship Office.
The internship is approved by the academic tutor after the upload of the duty materials on the ESSE3 - STAGE web page, made by the trainee Student.
