Knowledge of how engineering companies plan and manage their activities; enrichment of its technical background. Understanding of the technical, economics, and management needs of the engineering activities

The student applies the technical knowledge in an operational context and on real cases. He is invited, whenever the conditions are met, to propose modifications to the design solutions.
Making judgements
The student is encouraged to identify the best strategy to solve practical problems

The student has to communicate and act with workers with different background
Learning skills
The student improves the auto-learning capacity, getting in touch with new problem and learning how to manage the new challenges
Prerequisites
Since the internship is supposed to provide the chance to apply engineering expertise in a working environment, the student should apply for it only when he has acquired a good deal of such expertise. Therefore, the stage is scheduled in the last semester of the second year.
Course unit content
Students may apply for a internship period at Electronic Engineering labs of the Department.
The activities at the company will be agreed upon by the university tutor and the company tutor (a teacher of the electronics area).
Students may select stage opportunities by agreement with the professors of the electronics area.
For each ECTS credit, 25 hours of stage are foreseen.

Assessment methods and criteria
At the end of the internship the tutor validates the acquisition of the University Credits.
